Applied on 6/15...pending.

Have received several VMs to call. Called late yesterday afternoon and was told "for security reasons" we'll call back in 5 minutes.

No return call?

Presumably this is part of verification BUT, they only seem to call my home number when I'm at work and they're closed on Sunday.

Any suggestions since they seem to require contact from my home?

Call them back and have them call you at a number where you are able to pick up.  Until then, your application will be pending and then ultimately denied.

+1 You will have to make yourself available for them to call you and verify you. the clock is ticking and time is running out. even if you must go home at lunch time. no way do i put my home number on app. most people dont even have home phone any more.

My home # is contained in my CRs for over 25 years and usually minimizes verification. BBVAs app doesn't provide for adding my cell, or even my work #. I'll keep trying but, going home for lunch is impossoble

I feel ya.. I guess it depends on how bad you want it. it is a very propular card here at my fico. as they were giving out massive limits. 30k plus. even with average scores. i changed my mind on the card. after i started seeing shutdowns and AA for no appearant reason. so i passed. but everyone else seems to luv it. they should have another way to contact you. i agree. even at work. but maybe take day off. i would hate to see hp wasted for not being verified. they could even ask you some questions from the credit bureaus thru verification. i wish you all the luck in the world.

Uhhhh, I'm scratching my head? It sure had a tone of denial

CSR called back to "verify your info" and said I'd receive details on how to proceed in 5-7 days.

This is the weirdest application process ever

I believe if you research here, you'll find many who had the same experiece during verification but, were approved and received a "packet" 5-7 days later.

Thanks, that's somewhat encouraging. Sure didn't sound like it on the phone but, they were persistent trying to contact me for verification!

I had this same issue. I was approved. If you do not make yourself available at the number they are calling your application will be declined.

I was verified yesterday but, only confirmed data in my app. No indication of status, just I'll receive snailmail in 5-7 days. I inquired about adding an AU but, she reiterated, wait 5-7 days
