BBVA Denied Due to BS-[Update] BBVA NBA Amex approved!

So, I finally got through to someone and they said the sole reason I was denied was because they couldnt reach me through the numbers that are listed on Innovis to verify my info?  Why wouldnt they call the number on my app?  WTH!

I am pissed.

Update-Approved.  It was not an easy process, but I am happy it all worked out.  Perseverance is key.

Anyone who has had the same problem PM me and I will give you the contact information for the BBVA CC Fraud Department.   I was told they could reverse the decision.  I am assuming after you send in documents (because they gave me a PO Box) to prove its you and not someone trying to open an account under your name.  I am not letting a hard inquiry go to waste!!

I think B335i went through this as well but they cancelled his after issuance for so-called fraud issues. He was able to get his card reopened and line restored thankfully. Good info to post, thanks!

Sent in my identifying docs today and overnighted to VP of CC fraud department.  We will see what happens and how fast it happens.

Hope the OP gets this worked out to his favor. Too many of these same issues is what spooked me away from apping that bank.

Same here... that and the fact I haven't used my AmEx since I last went to Costco about 3 months ago...  Sam's smaller bulk quantities and the MC is better for my needs LOL...

Ugh.  I wish I would have dug a little deeper before apping this one, but hindsight is 20/20....right?  Hopefully it all works out.

I had no issue with this card thankfully.  I had an instant approval for $13K with 13.xx% APR.   I have used it several times for about $3K.
