BCE odds? (Update.. CSP approved 5K, yes CSP, not BCE!)

Currently,

Chase Freedom $1200 since Aug 2014

WF secured $500 - April 2014 (SD'd)

TU 705 - 3 inq

EQ 734 - 1 inq

EX 730 - 3 inq

(none in last 6 months)

Income: $72K

Considering BCE from Amex

Other cards that I want: CSP, Capital One quicksilver VISA signature. Any other suggestions would help too.

I was considering the CSP this week, then chicken'd out of it, huge spend requirement and annual fee!

Plus, I think it would be wise to not have everything with one institution, thoughts?

Re: BCE odds?

Definitely don't go for CSP until and unless you're sure about the bonus spend and AF. Without the bonus, it's really pretty unexciting and then the AF kicks in

For your actual question. I would say everything looks good for a BCE!

Re: BCE odds?

And yes. You want to diversify, not just have all Chase cards. Quicksilver and BCE are both good all purpose additions to your lineup IMO

Re: BCE odds?

Nice. I looked at credit karma and card match and they both have a $150 cash back and $500 spend. When I click the link it takes me to the amex site application page. Is this legit?

I remember you.  You are the chap with a lot of money at Chase and wanted the CSP.  I hope the CSR didn't talk you into getting the Chase Slate insteadd of the CSP.  I still think you have a shot at the card based on your other thread.

Also, Credit Karma recommendations are not that reliable.  if you want to see if you have a strong chance of getting the card, go to th Amex site and see if you are pre-qualified for it.  I wouldn't just go off a remommendation from "Kredit Karma"

Why?  How many inquiries do you have now?  You're never going to be approved until you actually apply.

Re: BCE odds?

I have no cards in that kind of credit limit range.. People seem to have higher limits before going for CSP!

CSP was the first card to break the 5k CL for me, my next closest was 4k so they beat it by 3.5k, being a 7.5k initial approval.. go for it, what do you have to lose?  Decent Income, good scores, no recent inquiries, low inquires overall..
