BCU Travel Rewards $5000 could it be more?

DS was looking for a 0% APR Promo card and had joined BCU a few months ago but has put nothing through the account. I suggested looking at BCU as they typically give generous SL. Applied through the app For the Travel Rewards Visa and got an email a few hours later that he was approved for $5000 and that they were working to set up the account and would contact him if any more information was needed. He is ok with $5000 but was hoping for more as his scores are mid 700's, isn't carrying balances, and has other lines of over 20k. Will post back once the account is finalized.

They pulled only TU

I also suggested once the credit card is finalized he should use their credit pull for a PLOC so we will see how that goes as well.

Re: BCU Travel Rewards $5000 could it be more?

Update: After sending in Income verification 1 paystub he was approved for $12,500 SL - Pretty good but he was hoping to be closer to his current high-limit card NFCU cashRewards at 22k

Then requested to use the existing Credit Pull for a PLOC - which was denied. so he requested a review, have not heard back yet.

DP:

  • TU Vantage 3 = 787
  • Oldest account = 37 months  (NFCU CashRewards $22,000)
  • Average age of credit = 22 months 8 accounts
  • Util = 8% ( Apple Card ) 1% mixed
  • TU Inquiries = 1 (22 months ago)
  • No derogs
  • Income = $58,000
