I Joined BECU about a week or two ago and was hesitant to apply for a credit card yet becaue I have 11 inquiries on my TU and a few new open accounts.
They just updated my FICO score with their system at 800 so I did some research on here and said what the hell lets do it.
Pressed apply, the wheel seemed to spin FOREVER,
.....
Pending...check loan status in 24 hours....
...
Immediatley check loan status....
Conditionally Approved $$25,500
,,, what how could this be....
check the condition just says i need to esign the credit document. I e signed it and it says...
APPLICATION APPROVED!!
unbelievable as my highest personal line is 7K right now!!!
im still thinking this has to be a mistake...
it still says please sign the documentation listed above and fax to the number below. but there is no documentation listed and above that it says "BECU is pleased to inform you that your application has been credit approved. This approval is good for 30 days"
.. any BECU members have any insight on this!!!
****UPDATE - just finished chatting with them for LOC - they used same hard pull and after a series of questions about my property taxes, insurance and job was approved for 15k LOC at lowest rate 10.9%!!!****
CU paperwork and systems tend to act a little funky and clunky but, in the end they're good products if you can look beyond the small issues.
If you e-signed it then just ignore it and wait for the plastic to show up.

I would love a LOC hehe. Would I have to call them to have them use the same Hard Pull or can I just apply online??? Also do you know if they allow you to have 2 credit cards and what the max lines are for their credit cards??

Just used the chat on my app, cool feature never knew it was there The CSR responded immediately and put me in the queue for the lending department for monday since they are not there over the weekend. Very impressed with the chat feature and CSR so far.
