I've been planning this one for a few months. Joined BMO last month as I'm not in the foot print. Also read on some other blogs that it might be an auto decline if I apped through the web account. So I called in and submitted the app through a banker CSR this afternoon.
I'm finishing up spend bonuses with Citi and US bank. So decided to hit these guys up. Wasn't expecting much, the lady comes back and tells me I'm approved for $14,000 with the lowest rate on the card!
It's true BMO isn't new account or inq sensitive. I now know that for a fact!! lol
Current TU was a 785 FICO 8 with 15 inqs, now 16. I've opened more accounts in the last year than I'd care to mention.
Lets just say I'm NWIH/24. That's "No way in Hell" for those that don't know. Ha ha
If you're not in the foot print, just open a free checking account and app away!! I like Mastercards because I have the option to use Plastiq and knock out the SUBs, if I want to.
I also talked to a credit card specialist, that informed me you can PC to a different card with a phone call.
I'm gonna blame @CreditCuriosity , @FinStar @Mahraja for this one! I can't sit on the sidelines long watching these three!

Thanks Simplynoir! lol I have some that are safe because I'm geo locked out of those areas. Some of those I plan to find a way around in the future!

Thanks CC, yeah they are an easy catch. I'd say similar to BB&T. I want Fifth Third and Huntington! neither is in my area. I'll have to just stop in a branch and open an account to get what I want from them! Every time I see it in your signature. I'm reminded of that fruit I can't quite reach. lol
The regional banks are becoming more and more competitive, after sitting on the sidelines and watching Chase and the like make billions off credit cards!

Synovous is where it is IMO generous CL's and good APR's and good cats make sure you open on of those accounts when opening a 5/3rd acct and hunington

@Gmood1 seriously open a free checking account in branch no min i believe or 10$? No fees no chex's hit at least for me. Then apply for CC get an EQ hit and see 15-25k limit come to daddy .. Currently have the cash rewards 3% of food and my 3% cat I picked is for prescriptions/medical (good cat imo).. Will grab probably the other points rewards cards in another 6 months or so and see how much i can push them cash i got 18k with around a 780 pulled EQ a slew of inquiries so not inquiry or new account senstive at all. You will beat me due to longer mortgage
