This is a link to the start of my journey way back when: Starting rebuild
Super happy! I burned Chase, Amex, NFCU, USAA, Citi back in 2017 in my Ch7. Somehow got my BK off of my Equifax 3 months after discharge, so optimized my rebuild with Discover, penfed, and cap1 cards 1 month after my discharge. I had a ton of late payments on my report as i stopped paying all cards to save up for the BK lawyer.
In that time I also added a BoA card and more Cap 1 cards and an Applecard. Well as soon as all of the late payments dropped from my reports at 7 years the only negatives I have are my BK listed on my transunion/experian. Scores are at 750ish for trans/ex and eq is 846.
I heard reports of at least 10 years blacklist for Chase and Amex if you burned them. I decided to try the prequal on Amex and saw they actually had offers for me. I applied for the Plat and Gold and got instant approvals. I always check for offers in credit journey for Chase and nothing ever shows. I even tried applying for a freedom when I was at 5 years and instant denied, I tried a recon for a manual review and they took 20 minutes reviewing while i was on hold and they came back and said no due to burning them.
Well today I applied for a chase freedom with hopes of trying for another recon and I was instantly approved! So excited to be back in with Amex and Chase, ill probably close my discover, us bank, and some of my cap 1 cards. Today is a great day!
Excellent ! Congratulations on getting back in !
Congrats on getting back in with both. That's a massive SL with Chase. Awesome.
50K approval with Chase 7 years after burning. Wow! Very high CL especially for that card. Congrats
Yeah that credit limit is probably because I have a venture X with an $80k limit.

Still high as have many 30-60k limit cards (few are chase cards) this is really high for them. Guessing you HHI is well into the six figures or spend on venture x is also very high or both as that limit isn't normal for a non-af card out of the gate. Do you bank with Chase and they see your direct deposits? I have the CSP with a 40k limit and Ritz with 30k limit and few other cards for others cards with limits 5-15k limits with them, but never burnt them in BK only 7 years ago. Truly a very interesting approval and an outlier after they were burnt especially with regards to amount.
Regardless congrats on a monster approval.
Terrific comeback with both Chase and Amex Congrats on your approvals!!!!!!...... and amazing Chase limit woo woo

Yeah household income is exponentially up since the bk and is around middle 6 figures. I've been banking with chase for 4 years and after I switched careers and saved up some I did chase private client client hoping that relationship would help me get back with chase sooner, but the private banker said they didn't have much influence over the credit department so I withdrew most of the money and I keep some money (not substantial in chase terms) in a self-directed investing account.
But no direct deposits go there.
oh and spend on the venture x is never more than 5k in a month and always pif.
Congrats
