RE: no love from Amex for me...I see people on this forum who burned Amex for 5x or more than I did...and they're getting back in with...oh well.

You gotta pay amex in full to get back in. I paid them a charged off account around May 2016 and they updated my status from derogatory upon full payment and got back in with them with 3 approvals in March. Green card, Everyday card, and Bluecash everyday.

The paying versus not paying them back is a huge YMMV per data on the forums. Although, I agree that paying may sweeten the deal if one does pay!
