My partner moved $10k from his $15k BofA Cash Visa when he opened our Fidelity American Express to give us a full $25k on Fidelity. It's been 3 months now and they keep sending BT offers on the BofA so requested a CLI online for $25k and about 30 seconds later the screen came back:

So you requested $25k and got $5.6k? Haven't dealt with BofA CLIs, but thought they would give you a counter before approving the new CL? And you've been very busy today.

Yes, requested $25k and got that screen after at least 30 seconds of thinking!

Congrats, buddy! Although it seems like your "magic" number is $25k, I'm wondering when you'll bump it up a lil' bit more and go for like....$60k? I must say that you've set my standards high and once i'm in the $10k club, i'll be asking for $60k right off the bat for sure.

Firstly, congrats!!!

I LOVE BOA!!

I had a recent experience where I had an existing credit line on my BankAmericard VIsa of $10k. after just four months of account ownership, I requested $25,000. They countered with $18,800.

After a couple of weeks, I decided to call and see if I could speak with an Analyst to cli me to the full requested $25,000 using the report they used for the initial cli (it was a hp on TU), and they said they could use the same report as long as it is within 30 days. The Analyst looked over that copy of my report (my tu fico was about 700) and he APPROVED ME FOR THE FULL $25,000!!!! He said my high credit lines with Amex really helped him in determining the approval!

So my advice is to call and speak with a Credit Analyst if you want to get that full $25k. Do it within 30 days though so they don't have to HP you!! BOA also keeps tempting me with those contant BT offers!
