Hello everyone. I’ve been following myFico forums for a couple of years now and wanted to give back to the community by sharing my experience. This site has so much invaluable information which has taken me from FICO scores of 500s to mid 700s and TCL of $44,100 to $145,000 in about 18 months.

8/31/2015 Denied
5/24/16 I applied for the Arrival + and received the “We will contact you within 10 days with an update on your application status.” At this point I assumed I was denied.
5/25/16 called the backdoor number to speak with a credit analyst 866-205-5973 to reconsider application. He asked for information, placed me on hold to review, came back and asked more questions then approved me for $10,000 SL.
5/27/16 went online to check application status and it stated “Pended" review
5/28/16 called the recon line and was transferred to the verification department. Answered a few more questions; she stated I was approved and should receive my card within 7-10 days.
5/28/16 went online to check application status and it stated "Approved" Shortly thereafter I received an email congratulating me on my Arrival Plus approval.
6/3/16 called the recon line to see if I can increase my SL since I will be travelling in the upcoming months as well utilizing the 0% APR balance transfer. I asked for an additional $5,000, placed me on hold to review my original credit report (TU), came back and asked me a few questions then approved me for a credit limit of $15,000.
At the time of my application FICO8 TU was 756;
2 x 30 day late car payments 2012
2 x collections 2013
AAoA 5 yrs 3 mos
Inquiries x 6 (2 within last 12 months)
