I applied for the Barclay Rewards Card, since their requirement was only 'fair' credit. Truthfully, mine would be closer to 'needs improvement' but I chose to apply anyway. These were my stats prior to submitting the application :
EQ (Fico 8) - 622 (14) Inq
TU (Fico 8) - 621 (7) Inq
EXP (Fico 8) - 666 (7) Inq
(4) Additional inquries since last report through MyFico and two new accounts.
(3) Collections reported, (2) PIF, (1) Paying as agreed. Barclay's adds another inquiry and new account.
I received the 10 Day Review message and thought about letting it run its own course. After looking at some of the messages in this forum, decided to recon. Good thing I did, my credit analyst named 'Andy' told me that the app was denied. Fortunately, he gave me the option for another review which I gladly took. He inquired about some late payments in the past, current occupation along with gross income. He reversed the decision and approved me for a $1500 SL. I would like to thank everyone on MyFico for the plethora of knowledge and experience available to research regarding the credit game. It has provided me with the inspiration to fix my credit report and leave predator lenders (First Premier Bank, CreditOne, Continental Finance).
