If you transferred the entire balance to Ring. Apple will report closed with $500 limit. Won't report with $0 credit limit.
Thanks, baller4! I appreciate your help. I was afraid of that. Card never had a $500 credit limit even for one minute, that's merely some random amount they reported when they closed the card. More accurate would be to report what the limit was right before they moved the limit and closed the card, but, oh well.
(edited) Decided after a few days to close out both Rewards and Apple cards and moved limits to Ring. My new Ring credit limit is now $12,500! ![]()
Late Congratulations!

It's nice to know that someone loves Barclay. There isn't many of you as of late.

7 months ago me: Oh my God i will keep this card forever, my first real credit card (not a store card or secured) my first instant approval x2 for Apple and Rewards MC
Today me: I can't wait to pay it off and throw it in the sd and put 1 charge of a Starbucks double shot once a month on each card and pay it off!
And this is me coming from using a $1K limit card for $9K in 3 months and a $2K limit card for over $12K in less than 3 months. I will not give them a penny more.
Thanks for the congratulations and not sure what you don't like about Barclay, but they have been really great to a lot of people ![]()

In my case, after a very heavy usage of both cards for 7 months, with the credit report getting a lot better than when i was approved, and scores going higher, i would expect at least a little bit of an appreciation. Of course in the form cli would be great. How many people put over $20K on 2 cards in less than 3 months and pay it off, with the card limits totaling to $3K only. So, i am glad they opened the approval doors for me, got nicer cards (at least for me niicer) since than, and they don't want to throw a bone at me, then i will give my business to other lenders. I know they do not "have to" give me anything, but when you see people SD'ing their cards and getting cli's from the same company without a minimal usage, than you do ecpect a little something.
@Anonymous wrote:I planned to apply for Ring in 2017. Barclay had given me recent APR reductions and CLI's on both of my current Barclaycards, so I felt encouraged to try at this time.
Instant decline online. First recon, gentleman was super nice but stated too many accounts in past year. Most of these were last July but Barclay still looks at the last full year. I asked him about moving 1k to open Ring and he stated he was sorry, but he really couldn't do that.
Feeling pretty dejected, I figured that I would not recon again. Spoke with CC and asked his opinion. He encouraged me on 2nd recon (thank you very much, CC!)
I really don't think I would have done 2nd recon without CC's encouragement, as I felt a little spooked by ddemari's post yesterday and reluctant to ask again.
Called this AM and talked to WONDERFUL rep Cassie, who asked me " how much would you like me to move to open the Ring?"
Yay!
(edited) I made several calls and over the course of the next few days, moved limits from Rewards and Apple and closed out both of those cards. My new credit limit for Ring is now $12,500! woohoo!
I am SO thrilled I can 't even tell you. Super excited!

Very nice.
It's my favorite card.
I too was declined for it, reconned, moved over some of my existing CL's, and am a happy camper.

Looking back now my biggest mistake was not opening more Barclay cards no matter the low limits.
As it stands my Ring Card is totally stuck at $5K until i give up a customer initiated HP for some baby raise ![]()
