Just goes to show that people with pretty horrid credit histories can recover. For most of my adult life, I had two premier bank cards totaling 550 of available credit. Since cleaning up some baddies on my report, and beginning to practice good credit habits regarding utlization and paying in full before the due date with a secured card, Barclaycard and BoA opened accounts for me with short lines - 500 credit line each. Today at the 6.5 month mark, got a letter from Barclay stating that based on my payment and account history that they'd be increasing me to $1,500, no soft or hard pulls were made. For those in my position or in a comparable situation, keep it up, and remember - there really are no shortcuts to repairing your credit. Stay on the path and don't overextend yourself.
