Hey folks! I'm happy to report that my Barneys card that I opened with a $750 limit in March, and increased to $1750 last month via 'secure messgae' on the Comenity site, just jumped up to $2750 thanks to me giving them a call. The girl on the phone, who was lovely, gave me the option of having them check my score or not (and honestly ... my util was up last month and I took a big dip so I wasn't trying to get an inquiry anyway) so I opted out, and said if need be they could do a pull ... anyway she took my income and came back with a congrats and a $1000 increase. pretty stoked! This brings my total credit over 10k for the first time EVER, and as somebody who royally effed up their credit a few years back, I can't wait to see what happens next after gardening through the new year. woo!
Congrats! w. Nothing like phone credit love w/ a lovely lady.
Do you have some DPs to share on your credit profile?
Hey ... newb here. DP?
Hey, newb. Welcome.
You might want to open a 2nd browser window every time you're here for awhile -- I did for about 2 months -- and have it opened to here. My goodness, but there's a lot of abbreviating goes on. It's like learning a new language.
But you'll get there.
Btw, DPs = data points, which means numerical information about your credit history. Read a lot of other approval/denial threads and you'll get the hang.
Common DPs: Fico scores by EX, TU, EQ; Inq; #new accounts; CLs; Income;
The DPs tell a story that helps guide a reader whether a lender might be a good fit and worth a HP. They're essential.
Congrats on the approval and success thus far!
Congratulations!

Got it. Updated with score info. Back in the garden for a bit now but my goal is 700 by June. Paying off some old mistakes through Xmas and I'm oping that some of those accounts reporting PIF will help me out. Wish me luck!
Happy to report I got another increase this morning to $3750 ... they seem to like me, even though my credit is rebuilding a lot slower than I would have liked ... I'll take it, either way!
