Thanks for the tip. I wasn't aware that CLI requests are a HP... but I have seen the card grow with my own eyes. I was an AU on my old girlfriend's card for probably 7-8 years (while I was in my Ch 13 too) and I ran so much money through that card that her $1500 card was $7500 after a few years.

You're right about that. My current build (11900k, 64GB DDR4 4000, 3090, 3x 970 Evo Plus 2TB SSDs, 12TB 7200rpm HDD, EVGA 1000W PSU) is rock solid... and the only realistic upgrade I can make without building an entire new system is the GPU... so I snagged a Gigabyte 4090 and will sell the old one to recoup some of the cost. I'm super glad I built with a 1000W PSU because that's what's recommended for the 4090 with the added power draw.
My PC will be set for another 3-4 years. It's fine now... but the 4090 will definitely help with gaming, MS Flight Simulator... and the 4K/6K video editing I do of my drone footage.
All around solid upgrade... and all I'm gonna do to this machine. Everything else is fine... the SSDs are still blazing fast.
I'm jealous of that 4090! I'm running a 5900X/3090 Strix/32GB DDR4 3600 Gskill/1TB Samsung 980 Pro/1TB WD SN850/2TB Samsung 870 EVO/EVGA P2 1000 set up currently. I kind of regret buying two 1TB M.2 SSDs instead of a single 2TB because I only have 2 M.2 slots (X570 Dark Hero). I wanted no chipset fan, and thought I was going to do some CPU overclocking (what was I thinking
) but a 3rd M.2 slot would have made things a lot easier! I also built at a terrible time in spring of '21. I think I'm going to hold out till 50 series before upgrading my GPU and/or doing a new build. We'll see what the $$ situation is then. Nonetheless congrats on the approval! I had a BB store card once upon a time that started off with HSBC before it ended up with Citi. I was in good standing with no balance when closed by Citi but burned citi pretty bad on core cards in my BK7 so I'm leery of ever trying to get back in with them. Did you apply for the store card or apply for the Visa but were offered the store card?

Congrats on your Best Buy approval. And have fun with your graphics card upgrade.
Congrats on your new BB card ![]()
solid approval there! It will grow with a HP but you can ask for a lot with that single pull. Don't be shy!
