Congratulations, they seem to increase your limit based on usage. They have increased mines several times out of the blue.

You're right about that.   My current build (11900k, 64GB DDR4 4000, 3090, 3x 970 Evo Plus 2TB SSDs, 12TB 7200rpm HDD, EVGA 1000W PSU) is rock solid... and the only realistic upgrade I can make without building an entire new system is the GPU... so I snagged a Gigabyte 4090 and will sell the old one to recoup some of the cost.  I'm super glad I built with a 1000W PSU because that's what's recommended for the 4090 with the added power draw.

My PC will be set for another 3-4 years.  It's fine now... but the 4090 will definitely help with gaming, MS Flight Simulator... and the 4K/6K video editing I do of my drone footage.

All around solid upgrade... and all I'm gonna do to this machine.  Everything else is fine... the SSDs are still blazing fast.

I'm jealous of that 4090! I'm running a 5900X/3090 Strix/32GB DDR4 3600 Gskill/1TB Samsung 980 Pro/1TB WD SN850/2TB Samsung 870 EVO/EVGA P2 1000 set up currently.  I kind of regret buying two 1TB M.2 SSDs instead of a single 2TB because I only have 2 M.2 slots (X570 Dark Hero).  I wanted no chipset fan, and thought I was going to do some CPU overclocking (what was I thinking Smiley LOL) but a 3rd M.2 slot would have made things a lot easier! I also built at a terrible time in spring of '21.  I think I'm going to hold out till 50 series before upgrading my GPU and/or doing a new build.  We'll see what the $$ situation is then.  Nonetheless congrats on the approval!  I had a BB store card once upon a time that started off with HSBC before it ended up with Citi.  I was in good standing with no balance when closed by Citi but burned citi pretty bad on core cards in my BK7 so I'm leery of ever trying to get back in with them.  Did you apply for the store card or apply for the Visa but were offered the store card?

@Zoostation1

I applied for the Visa and was offered the store card.  It's fine... scores are in the 670 range and will be improving in the coming months with the baddies falling off.

As for the PC...  I pulled the trigger mainly because the 4090 is a pretty huge improvement over the 3090.  The fact I can sell the 3090 and get hopefully half of the cost back played a big part though.

You built a few months after me... I built mine a few days after Christmas 2020.  I didn't have too much difficulty getting parts although the prices were slightly inflated IIRC.   As for m.2 slots... what sold me on this motherboard was the fact it had 3 of them.  (MSI Z490 Unify) I threw 2TBs in each and it was so worth it.  Also the fact the board and internals are black... my case is white (Fractal Meshify 2) and the new 4090 is white... Gigabyte 4090 Aero.  I'm just not a fan of skittles colored RGB PC's.  Smiley LOL  I keep it simple with a white on black with white light scheme.

Yep... they do... I ran a ton through the old card that I was an AU on and I saw the limit increase tenfold.  I'm expecting nothing less with me... $2k is a great starting limit though but I'm expecting $7500+ down the road.

Thanks all!

@FireMedic1
It's worth it IMO especially for larger purchases due to the financing offers.  I got my 65" and 77" LG OLEDs with the card.

If you are wanting to buy a new TV I'll just say this... if you don't buy an OLED you bought the wrong TV.

@M_Smart007

LOL!  I remember morning cartoons in the early 80s on one of those TVs that were in a wooden case on the floor... and gaming on my top of the line Commodore Amiga 500 in 1988.

... and I just paid $1600 for one piece of hardware for my current PC.

The 4090 arrived yesterday and I just had to show you... and take note of the new anti-sag bracket the card is attached to.
