I was only planning on going for a CLI on my BR Synchrony card today as October 2019 was my last CLI with them and I was denied both in Feb. 2020 and today for a CLI.
I planned on requesting a CLI next month for BoA, but that denial pushed me towards pulling the trigger on the luv button. Requested $25k and got an instant approval from $12,800!
Some data points:
- BoA checking since 2014, Cash Rewards is only card with BoA at the moment
- July 2018, SL: $1,500
- June 2019 CLI: $1.5k --> $2.8k, requested $3.5k
- 9-11-2019 CLI: $2.8k --> $6.8k, requested $12k
- 12-26-2019 CLI: $6.8k --> $12.8k, requested $20k
- 4-4-2020 CLI: $12.8k --> $25k, requested 25k (left some on the table... oh well)
Couple other things that may also have been taken into consideration -- I've maintained an average balance of $9-10k in my checking account for a few months, and my monthly spend on the card has always ranged from $100 - $500 with almost always PIF. Hope this helps anyone else out there.
