BofA~30 day review

After applying for BoFA card this is response I received: We wanted to let you know that we've received your application for the BankAmericard® Visa® Card. We're currently reviewing your information and will notify you of our decision by mail.(30 days )

Question: If I call them for result of app will it be a hard pull?

Not at all.  Doesn't hurt to ask of status.

There's going to be the HP no matter what for applying.  But not for trying to find out the status of your application.

I hope it works out for you... Personally, I detest Bank of America. I remember when I was starting out trying to learn (my family was abroad), I applied for a secured card $500.00 and one time I had a problem and went in to see a banker.  After I sat down and she was going through the transactions she said "it's usually the ones with no money that seems to have problems the most and laughed". So I told her I understood the explanation she was giving me although I didn't, and said thank you.  As I left, I remember crying as I drove off. I went to Chase and as I was opening my small account, he said we can start you with a $300 line (I guess he felt sorry for me lol)  For that alone, I have been very loyal and they have given me over $30,000 in credits cards (all my ccounts are with them - Personal, Business, IRA etc)  Now,  I have cards with some of the biggest banks in the world and everytime I see / get a call from BOA, I tell them never never call me again. It is 10 years but I can't bring myself to forgive them.  So all the best with the card.

I'm really sorry to hear that story. OP, feel free to yell at me if you think i'm hijacking your thread.

yesi-ts-me, you shouldnt let one Rude, inconsiderate banker sway your decisions like that. BoA really is a great bank. I'm studying to be an investment banker. in my short life, I've handled multimillion dollar investments and seen hundreds of bankers on every level, and i think I speak for most bankers in general when I say that what that lady said is deplorable. I dont want to tell you how to live your life, but the whole company shouldnt be punished for the actions of one banker. I'm sure if you brought this to the attention of the BoA EO, they would do everything in their power to get your business.

Sorry for the long post, and i'm sorry about your experience.

Note: I've never worked for BoA, but their staff saved me from losing almost $50k.

I guess you are right.  They said time heal all wounds.  Maybe one day.. .. I know a lot of people don't like Chase, but for me they took me and gave me a little chance to prove myself. At that moment, I'd have taken $100 line as long as it reported the credit bereau. What these banks don't understand is, we all have to start somewhere. Even if we make mistakes, we deserve a 2nd chance.

Jus tlike US tax payers bailed out BofA......  How they forget and don't give 2nd chances to others as they were given... I will never deal with them again personally and they offered me credit once I decided to close my account and I turned them down.  I forgive, but don't forget   Kinda funny how it can work both ways, but they were to "big" to fail lol.

Sorry had to rant as I really dislike them as a company for so many reason other just what was just mentioned.

I also am in the financial industry and I think sometimes we forget that people are truly sensitive about their finances (mysef included!) Maybe she was trying to make a joke or lighten the mood but it was inappropriate and she is not good at her job. Its sad though to let one banker influence your decisions for a lifetime. She did a terrible job representing her financial institution but im sure there are incredible bankers that work there also. I recruited one of them to work for me at mine!! Anyhow good luck op and good job building your credit profile!
