CHASE Auto CLI feature

When trying activate my CSP today I tried to  reconed to higher than 5k, no go on more at this time.

I asked why didn't I ever get an increasing on my Chase Southwest Card that I have had for years and it is stuck at 3.5k, the lady said you have to specifically tell Chase that you want the Auto Credit Line Increase featured turned on with your accounts.  It is something I never heard of but wanted to share with all.

She said once the featured is enabled on your account then every 6 months or so, they will soft inquiry you and if all is good across all your CC's and credit report then they can and will do automatic increases.  She also said if things are bad on your credit file then they can do CLD's too.

I am not planning on baddies so I had her enable it on all three of my accounts.

I hope this is new information I am sharing.

Thanks

Is it a SP on all three reports or just the report they pulled originally?  Not that it really matters I don't guess.  Just curious cause I had to have them pull a different report to get approval due to some medical collections which were deleted from one report but not the others.

Re: CHASE Auto CLI feature

Very interesting. That is the first I hear of this. I have had my slate card at the same three digit limit for the last 5 years.

Re: CHASE Auto CLI feature

My husband just called, and the lady said its automatic unless you specifically opted to turn it off. Weird. Who WOULDN'T want auto CLIs??

Re: CHASE Auto CLI feature

I sent a secure message regarding automatic CLI and a CSR replied Chase does not have that procedure. A CLI must be requested by account owner.

My mom was in the same situation. She had an $800 limit on a slate card. Reapped for the slate card, they closed the old and reopened it at a $5000 limit with the current promos.

Re: CHASE Auto CLI feature

Interesting... I am looking at applying for the Disney Premier Visa in the next few months. (I apped in february but was denied, only reason given at recon was high util) Is Chase inq sensitive? What do they normally pull in FL?

I am also looking at applying for the walmart card and I am guessing I should app for Chase first, then walmart. I just brought down my util from 80% to under 30% and working on getting it into the teens before applying.
