CITI allows CLI once every six months with a soft pull. Today was my day for my Costco card's CLI. I received an instant approval for $1K increase from $42K to $43K. ![]()
With moderate spend (and pre-pandemic), this card was getting $3K increases every six months but at the time, I was also using it more heavily for non-Costco spend. For the past couple of years, my increases slowed to $1.5K every six months. The card currently only gets light usage so perhaps that is the main reason for the further slowing to $1K. I have noticed that CITI's CLIs seem spend-driven to some degree. For another general CITI data point, it seems CITI may deny CLI at the six-month point if there is excessive credit-seeking behavior. That happened to me once and I've seen reference to something like more than two or three new accounts in six months. (My current new personal accounts tally is 1/6; 1/12; 2/24.)

Congrats on the CLI and the already great credit limit
