CLIs on Lowes, Sportsman's Guide, Total Rewards and J. Crew

I have decided to keep trying for CLIs rather than get new cards and keep my AAoA low.

Lowes went from $3,000 to $5,500.

J. Crew from $5,500 to $5.800.

Total Rewards from $2,000 to $2,750

Sportsman's Guide from $3,250 to $4,000.

I think 13 cards is enough and I already have Chase CSP and Freedom, Citi Simplicity and Ebates.

Congrats on your CLI!!!!can I ask, how long did you have the Total Reward and Sportsman Guide Visas before your CLI.  I've had mine for almost 2 months now.  Just wondering.  Thanks!

Re: CLIs on Lowes, Sportsman's Guide, Total Rewards and J. Crew

I would say about 9 months.  I used to never get the CLIs from Comenity.  Then one day more than a dozen for J. Crew and one for Sportsman's Guide.  Last night I did get rejected for CLIs on Overstock, HSN, and Brylane Home but apparently that's because those are not 9 months old yet.  My Camping World Visa is still stuck at $1,000.  Even though I started out with nearly an 800 FICO score Now is 780), I still fell into the Comenity easy cards thing.  But because of those the door was opened up for me for big bank credit cards.  The Comenity cards co-branded with Visas and MCs are worth keeping for life and the ones giving insane CLIs are worth keeping for utilization.

Makes sense.  Comenity Visa cards appear a little conservative, 9 months before CLI, but I have the time, lol!  I have several of their store cards and you are right, insane CLI.  My utilization will be at 5% in a couple of months after they report to the bureaus.  Thanks for sharing.
