COMMENITY/OVERSTOCK

Funny....I had 8 cards with these guys, all from SCT and all in two days....Ovst starting limit was 4500...Sportsman visa...3800..wayfair 3500...etc all fairly high SL..they closed em all in one swoop claiming opened too many too quick..understandable......45 days later I received a pre approval letter for Overstock store card. Went ahead and applied..approved for..GET THIS 250.00!....Like for real...I called cc center for CLI..asked for 4000...went to review..lmao

Re: COMMENITY/OVERSTOCK

You'll probably get a denial letter here soon, Comenity is stingy on CLIs for Overstock I have been able to move mine up $400 every month keep up the good fight.

Re: COMMENITY/OVERSTOCK

The CLI isn't an issue..it's the 250.00 starting limit after giving me a 4500 limit 45 days ago...I asked for 4k for kicks, Im probably gonna close this b4 it gets started...seems too weird

Re: COMMENITY/OVERSTOCK

Sounds like you were attempting to be the newest version of Ron1.  If one Comenity card could be used on 5 different sites he still felt like he had to have all 5 cards.  He disappeared real quick like.  If he got shut down he lost 45 or so cards.  He posted screen shots of all his approvals also.  Never heard him post of any losses.  Sounds like you destroyed your AAoA also.  Make it a learning lesson.  I once had a $4,000 Overstock card.  No CLIs.  Cancelled it.  Have 2 new, unopened shower curtains in the laundry room as a result.

Re: COMMENITY/OVERSTOCK

I have both OS and way fair cards pretty good limits from the CLIs. I swear I need a new shower curtain. All I do is look at those sites, but never actually order one.

Re: COMMENITY/OVERSTOCK

Wahhh? Why reapply for the card?

I got one card with SCT and apped for the other Commenity cards that I wanted (I honestly love P1, JC and AT. I really don't need VS I am realizing and will close it when it hits 2 years).  But if I received AA and all my cards shut off, no way I'd app.

Always do research before apping for a card! e.g. I want to apply for Chase Slate or Freedom but I've read they are inq sensitive and I have a lot until next April. So I'm going to sit tight for now.

Capital One Savor: $8,000; Nordstrom Visa: $5,400; Mission Lane: $4,500; LOFT MC: $3,000; AAA Daily Advantage: $2,700; PenFed Power Cash Rewards: $2,000; Capital One: $550 (reallocated $2k to Savor)

Store/Other: Care Credit: $7,500; Amazon: $2.500; Kohls: $2,500; Home Depot: $1,500; Target: $1,100

Re: COMMENITY/OVERSTOCK

I did something similar and opened around 7 Comenity cards within a month. However, they didn't shut me down, they actually suspended my accounts until I sent my ID and proof of residence. I think it took about a month, but after I submitted the info they released the supension and the cards continue to report.

Also, Side note for anyone interested in opening a card through Comenity: Comenity reports to all three credit agencies, but they only report during months you actually have a balance. I haven't used my Overstock card since May 2016 and they have not updated the information on my credit report since May 2016. So if you get CLI's, you must use the card before they will actually report.
