I was recently looking at some of my old posts. I had 570 ish score looking for advice on what cards to get that were not secured and I landed a $300 qs1. It has been a long journey and I have many good cards now. My scores are over 700 finally. I decided I'd try for the CSP due to the new 80k bonus. I anticipated being denied. To my surprise, I was approved with a $14,900 SL. Thanks for all the advice through these years!!
To those working at climbing the ladder, my advice to you.......just keep goin, pay all your bills on time, and little by little chip away at the bad stuff on your report. Do it your way but don't be late or miss a payment EVER!! This is a long journey so don't rush it. Don't get discouraged. Sometimes it's best to chill and make payments for a while, let it grow (garden). You will make it one day if you don't give up. Above all, ask the folks here on myFICO questions. They are very wise.
