Used the Rakuten link for the $300 bonus in addition to the 100k point signup bonus. Application initially went to fraud prevention which happens on everything I apply for at Chase. Rep called about an hour or two later and verified me, then said it was all good and approved. Limit was $25k which isn't that high for a Sapphire, but I think it's because I have high limits on some other Chase business products. 25k is more than I really need on one card for personal spending anyway so that's fine with me

Yeah I would definitely stay on top of them. Rakuten has skipped out on a few small payments they owed me in the past and just blamed the merchant, but it wasn't enough for me to bother making a big deal out of.
Looks like Rakuten did log the 300 but is keeping it as pending for now. I believe I read that you need to keep the card open for 3 months before reciving the cash.
