CSP Question

Currently, I have  Chase Freedom. My limit is $1300. Ive had this card since March 2014. My question is when would be a good time to apply for the Chase sapphire Preferred? I absolutely am obsessed with this card and would love to add it to my collection. Should I wait a year then apply? or wait 6 months then apply?

Re: CSP Question

(Take my advise with a grain of salt, i'm not that knowledgable)Hmm..Give us more details like credit score (EX, TU, EQ?), Your utilization? Your AAOA? Amount of inquiries on each report? How long you've had that Freedom card? The other cards you have? Do any of your other cards have a limit of 5k or above?

Edit:

I just saw your signature...Looks good to me. Asumming you have a healthy relationship with Chase, you should get approved. I do see that you don't have any cards 5k or over. That might be a problem. The Sapphire cards start at 5k or over.

Also, just to offer some perspective, i had 13 inquiries on the EX report, 10 on my EQ and 5(2?) on my TU report when i got approved for the CSP. I've also been a longtime borrower with Chase and i felt like this is the way they repaid me for enduring the horrible $300 Freedom card limit i've been stuck with for the past 5 years.
