CSP app?

Iv had a Discover It for 9 months now, and I got approved for an Amex ED (SL $3500, CLI to $10500 after activation) last month. As of last month, my TU was 700 and my EX was 709. Amex has already started reporting the new limit on both (since I paid my bill over a week ago). What are the chances of getting the CSP? I checked the chase pre-qual site, it said I was qualified for the Freedom and the Slate. I don't really need any of those cards though.

Also, will chase pull once or twice if I apply for 2 cards on the same day?

Re: CSP app?

Forgot to mention, I have 5 INQ's on TU and 6 on EX.

Re: CSP app?

We would need more information than just scores, but i think you would be fine for CSP with those scores. As for pulls, theres a few things that can happen.

Info such as Payment History, AAOA, Any Baddies?

1. They could double pull for a single card
2. IF apply for 2 cards same day they might pull again, they might not
3. IF apply for 2 cards, the 2nd card might say more information needed which could be a verification issue or wanting to see history with them

Re: CSP app?

No baddies, PIF every month on both cards, AAoA is approx 4-5 months.

Your AAoA could be a problem.  They may say they want to see more history from you first.  But you won't know until you apply.

Re: CSP app?

Iv been banking with them for over 3 years now so im pretty sure I have some sort of internal score with them. Just not quite sure if I want to use hard pull just to find out where my app is lacking.

Re: CSP app?

I got CSP and Freedom on same day.  They double pulled TU and Experian, but I got the two cards for the one double pull.

Hope you take this the right way but if you take that approach all the time, you will never another card.  Nothing is a guarantee.  Don't rely on these prequalified sites and assume that you'll automatically be approved for those cards either.  If you really want and can use the CSP, you're going to have to apply for it sometime.  Don't let the fear of an HP prevent you from getting cards.  The downside to HPs is often exaggerated and you'll see plenty of people here with lots of HPs, many cards and still very high scores.

Thanks irish80, yeah I think I should just pull the trigger. I'll apply later tonight or sometime tomorrow.

Good luck and remember that even if you get declined it isn't the end of the world.  You may have to recon if you don't get an immediate approval so be prepared for that.  If ultimately you're declined you can always try again in a few months.  I empathize with wanting to know definitely ahead of time that you'll get approved but that rarely ever happens .  Make sure you let us know what happens.
