I have been gardening since my last approval of Citi Premier in November 2020.
Hearing 100k points SUB on CSP is expiring in a few days, I decided to try my luck and applied online using the referral link from a friend. Surprisingly, I got instantly approved with a limit of 7.8k (APR 22.99%).
In my calculation, I will not be under 5/24 till 2021/10/23 and was expecting to be instantly denied.
My opened cards after September 30, 2019:
2019/10/23 - Amex Delta Gold
2020/02/08 - Chase United MPE (Limit 5k)
2020/02/23 - US Bank Cash+
2020/05/26 - US Bank Cash+
2020/11/26 - Citi Premier
2021/10/04 - CSP
Chase pulled my EX + EQ and all my cards are reported there.
Score: EX 778 (Fico 9 from Wells Fargo), EX 767 (Fico 8 from Experian), EQ 766 (Fico 9 from Penfed)
Have I really bypassed the infamous 5/24?
Congrats on your CSP approval!
Congrats on the approval.
I do not think the 5/24 rule as that firm on the exact timing, a few weeks probably didn't matter to Chase.
Congratulations on your CSP approval!
Congrats on the CSP approval! I also bypassed 5/24 because my Apple Card didn't report yet on my Experian.🥂🎊
Congrats on your approval!
Congratulations on your CSP approval!
On the 5/24, did you have a black star prequal or a green checkmark preapproval on the Chase site/app? Those have been known to bypass 5/24. Or maybe they didn't count the Delta Gold since it's almost 2 years out. Did you apply online or in branch?
What's your data points? Scores, starting limit, APR etc?
Congratulations on your approval!
There has been some discussion on this board and on other FB groups that the CSP has been approved over 5/24. It seems Chase is really pushing this card lately with the high SUB.
A few weeks ago I wanted to press my luck on the United Explorer card and was denied in a few seconds. Reason being; over 5/24 😡. I should be under 5/24 again in a few weeks.
Enjoy your new Chase card
Congrats on the CSP!!
