CSP or not? CSP it is!

So, I have a lot of cash back cards, but no rewards cards - you can see what I have in my signature.  I am interested in the CSP because of the travel & dining rewards.  I spend about 1.5-2k a month on restaurants, but currently use PayPal Extras MC at 2.5%.  Anyway, I am about to go on a vacation to San Juan in January and really need a card with no transaction fees.  I will probably be traveling more and more out of the US in the next 2-3 years.

However, I already have two Chase cards.  I have the Freedom with a 16.3k CL and a Amazon.com Rewards with a small 1.2k CL - they were originally split at 8.5k and 9k, but I moved all but 1.2k over to the Freedom - that is why it's at an odd 16.3k.  I went to chase pre-qualified card offers and it lists three cards on the page, the slate, sapphire preferred and the freedom - which I already have.  I have opened up a lot of new accounts in the last month, and hav 3 inq on TU and 4 on EX/EQ.  TU score is 780ish, and my EQ/EX is 720ish because of all the new accounts/inq.

So, even with the pre-qualifieed credit offers I am unsure if Chase will want to extend me more credit when I already have a total of 17.5k between the two cards.  Then again, I really need a good rewards card and no transaction fees.  Should I pull the trigger or wait a year for my scores to bounce back to the 760-780 range?

I'd go for it.

Re: CSP or not?

Well I could not resist.  I have to say +1 for the Chase Pre-Qualified CC offers;  Approved!  Only a 5k limit, but with the 17.5k already extended by Chase, I guess I should not complain.  Monday, I will be calling to see if I can transfer 6.3k from my Freedom over to the CSP so it will be 11.3k and the Freedom will be 10k ,or something along those lines!

Re: CSP or not? CSP it is!

In regards to who Chase spent;  For my Freedom/Amazon.com Rewards they double pulled EQ/EX.  For the CSP they thankfully pulled TU and EX.  My TU was my best score of 780 and my EQ was my worst score and the last thing I needed was another ding on EQ!
