CSP soft pull CLI!

I was a bit shocked to get this actually, as I thought Chase didn’t usually offer them. I’ve had my CSP for ~18mo now. For the few year, I probably put about 2-2.5K through it each month, then would pay in full just prior to closing statement. I was aggressively managing credit at that time. About three months ago, I changed jobs and moved across a few states, so I put through a higher spend of closer to 6K for two months. Before the statement period closed in the second month, Chase sent me a letter offering a soft pull CLI.

Out of curiosity, I followed up on it, and they offered 12K on a soft pull. Woot! I accepted happily.

I’m not sure if it was the increased spend that triggered it. It’s my main card as I love to travel and horde travel benefits like mad. But I was pretty happy!

The Chase unicorn! Yes, they offer them, but they're even rarer than the random auto-CLI's some people get.

12k CLI or 12k total Credit limit on the card?

Re: CSP soft pull CLI!

A unicorn! I love that. It was a bump of 3K up to 12K. There wasn’t a place to ask for an increase. The letter came with a code, and they asked for an updated income and then, with a swish of its magic unicorn horn: instant increase.

I did also recently open an American Airlines card through Barclays for the 65,000 mike bonus, and it opened with a 9K limit as well. I wonder if Chase felt threatened? 😂 Don’t worry little CSP, you’re still my favourite!

Re: CSP soft pull CLI!

I've been waiting for that unicorn for years. Each time i've tired a CLI, they HP me and it's denied (twice since getting card) right away. Congrats OP!! maybe i'll have better luck once my Ch7 falls.

Congrats and sorry for the hijack, OP.

@Anonymous So how long ago did you get the CSP? and how long since BK7? Was Chase IIBK? I got the Amazon and FU cards, but got denied for CSP (came close in recon but no cigar).

I just checked my statements and looks like i got on June/2015 with $5k CL.  Ch7 was D/C on 10/2010.  I included Chase in BK but it was for an amount arond the $300 i believe.
