I just thought I would share as it been a while since I last posted. I was recently hesitant about applying, but I wanted to do so before the 100k offer went away.
A little back story when I joined the forums my highest score was a TU at about 605. After taking the advice of the forum (Thank you so much) and just following a slow and steady pace to being more credit responsible. Five years later and some ups and downs my scores are all in the 750ish range lowest being EQ at 740.
I went into the branch a little nervous as the banker said he didn't see a pre-approval, so I just went with it. I already had a Freedom with a 1k limit open for about two years that I paid off regularly. Signed my paperwork and it came back approved with a 27k limit!
At first I thought he was joking and sure enough, he turned the screen and said instant approval and I would get my new card in a few days.
Just really wanted to thank the forum and assure everyone that it may take time but rebuilding your credit is worth all of the work!
