CSR Instant Approval & a question...

I just couldn't help myself. I have just recently got into credit card rewards over the last year. I couldn't resist the benefits of the CSR. Between the bonus points and the travel credit I had to go for it. I got instantly approved for $24,000.00, making this my highest limit card. I have no doubt I will hit the spend for the bonus just based on my regular spending, and we should be able to get the $300.00 travel credit for 2016 and 2017 based on trips we were already planning on going on.

Due to the very generous bonus, I know I will easily recoup the anuual fee for this first year, while making a decent profit and I will take this first year to decide if this annual fee is something I am comfortable continuing to pay for. If it's not, how difficult is it to change to a no annual fee card, like the Freedom Unlimited before the next years fee comes due?

Congrats on your approval!

If after a year you feel it's not for you, you can send a SM (secured message) on your online account and ask that your CSR be converted to an FU. You can even call them and request this. They'll do the product change and send you the new card in the mail.
