I had a CH7 BK discharged 8/2016 and have been rebuilding my credit since then.
I burned Comenity for quite a bit and while they have given me plenty of store cards, I have been unsuccessful in getting BACK my Caesars Rewards Visa which I previously had with them. I go to vegas 1-2x a year and love the rewards for it. I think I've been declined for this card 4x since my discharge.
I saw my TU and EX scores increase yesterday afternoon and thought, why not just take a chance on a HP.
I was SHOCKED! Instant approval for $1,000. I'm sure/hoping it will grow just as quickly as it did before.
Scores are hovering right around 680-690 with a 50% total utilization.
I've never had an AMEX before, but from what I've read, since I never had one with them and I have the BK7, they usually look for 5 years post discharge. So September 2021 will be my target date for my next card 
I've given up on attempting to get back with Chase for my Southwest rewards card.
