NFCU started my More Rewards card out at a **bleep** limit of $500 three months ago. 93 days later (late last night) I applied for a CLI. Having read about the 3x cap on CLIs for crap SLs, I asked for $2000. It wasn't instant but a couple hours later (in the dead of night, actually) I checked my NFCU app and it indicated that the limit was raised to $1500. Pretty much exactly what I expected and in line with other DPs regarding NFCU CLIs for low-SL cards.
If I'm not mistaken, I now wait 181 days before next request for CLI. Is that right? What should I ask for at that time? Thank you.
Firstly, CONGRATS on that cli.
Don't fret, my Platinum started with a 1k sl 4/2022. The card presently has a 15k limit.
Have patience and manage your account wisely and request cli's at prescribed intervals and that card should grow quickly, ymmv.
Always request the max 8k cli increase, they will counter with a lower amount as they feel. I never got the full 8k but usually 6k which is great considering what other cards offer in cli's.
You have to wait at least 181 days and 3 full statements from the time you were approved for a cli. I always waited an extra month on both my NAVY cards, I was never denied.
Congratulations on the increase. As mentioned above, ask for the max of $8k in 6 months. If they can't do it, they'll counter. Navy cards are easy to grow with minimal effort.
Congratulations on your Navy CLI 🎉
Congratulations on your CLI approval.

I miscalculated once and was instantly denied. I called in to ask if I had to unfreeze my TU file. The rep, in a snotty attiitude told me I had just applied for a CLI 5 months prior. Thats the last time I will miscalculate with Navy.
Congrats on your Navy luv.
Congratulations on your CLI!
