Happy New Year My Fico Family,
I am in process of rebuilding my credit (as i've mentioned before) I just got approved for the Cap One Quicksilver Rewards card. I used to bank with Cap One for a few years but closed all my accounts with them early in 2014. and moved back to USAA and NFCU. I just randomly thought to check their pre-qaulifier tool online and it told me I pre-qual for the Quicksilver one and also the Platinum I believe. I've checked previously with no luck.
So I decided to go for it as it would be my first unsecured card. I really wanted to get a Visa or MC because my secured card was AMEX and after getting it, I realised many places donot accept AMEX. After applying I received the message that they need more time to process my app and it woudl take 7-10 business days. SO I searched on her for a number and called. The young lady told me their system was currently down (which was why i couldnt get a instant response online) and call back in 2 hrs. I did and the new rep said Congrats you've been approved. 
She wasnt able to tell me my limit but I am thankful for being able to obatin a unsecured line of credit. I immediately thought about applying for the other card it pre-qual me for but then decided against it. I can just hang on the the ones i have for now.
In March 2013 I had no credit cards. I only had my student loans and car loan which both had 30/60/90 lates on them. I have managed to pay them both on time consistently since joining this forum and now 9 month later with everything I have learned here I have managed to secure the following
Victoria Secret Angel card
USAA secured AMEX
FingerHut
and now Quicksilver One Rewards

My plan is to be able to purchase a condo/townhome for myself by the end of the year. Something I heard my mom always wanting to do but she was never able to.
