Cap One Venture approved 30K SL (DP's)

Hope all is well with everyone this morning, am new to the myFico boards but have been lurking for a while.  Have been rebuilding from 2009 after BK, which finally fell off my CR's this January so now able to continue my credit journey.

Once BK fell off I went to CapOne pre-qual site and was pre-qual'd for high APR Venture @ 25.24%.  This would be my first unbucketed card outside of the CapOne Platinum and CapOne Rewards which I have had for a while, always paid, but low CL's (total: 2500 between the two).  Anyway, I decided to pull the trigger and I got the 7-10 day message.  Finally decided to call a week and a half later and went through identity verification.  That being said, they said the app would move to the next step.  A few days later I tried to link a new card through the cap one dashboard and my new Venture pops up as an account.  I was curious to see my credit line as I was expecting 5K or 10K, which would help my util obviously.  They extended me a 30K SL.  Anyway, very happy with my first major card and am looking to add more credit once my Venture hits my CR's and utilization adjusts...that point should be around >750 across all three CB's.  Anyway, here are the DP's:

FICO 8

EQ:  730, EX: 702, TU 697

1 baddie 30day late payment >4years

AAoA:  8 yrs 6mths

CapOne Plat: 1650 CL (8 years)

CapOne Rewards:  850 CL (6 years)

Income:  six figures

Anyway, this board is incredible and I look forward to people's thoughts on what my next cards should be...thinking WFVS and the new Marriott Boundless Visa Sig.  One question:  Does anyone know if there is a Visa Infinite offering in the new BonVoy portfolio?  Really wanted The Ritz card, but heard it was discontinued.

Look forward to thoughtfully contributing.

C

Huge congrats! That should certainly solve any utilization issues you may have had!

Congrats! If you are considering a Chase product keep in mind their 5/24 rule and apply accordingly. I would let that new Venture report for 6 months and try for the Sapphire Preferred. Smiley Happy

Yeah, right now at 2/24.  Was thinking about the new Marriott because I have a big trip in May and want to get the sub which would be attained during the trip.  Thinking going the co-branded way with Chase might set me up for success with getting the CSR in a year.  Thoughts?

Totally did, once that hits my report will be down to 6% util from 54% right now...should bump scores nicely.

Other than the JPM Ritz-Carlton CC (no longer available for new applications), there currently isn't a Visa Infinite tier for any of the BonVoy CCs.
