After lurking around and absorbing information over the past year while rebuilding my credit, I decided to try the Cap One pre-qual page. I was shown the Platinum and QuickSilver One with a solid APR and decided that since my inquiries are low I'd pull the trigger. Chose the Platinum as I plan to product change it later to the Quicksilver and forego the $150 signup bonus... big deal.
I initially got the 7-10 and immediately called in to check the status and was told they would want to probably verify my info. I was transfered over to a different department and was verified then transferred back again to check the status. Approved for $5k! This is the first real card I've had for years. I do plan on going for the Amex Gold (Rose Gold) on Jan 9th as it's the last day that card is available. Just waiting for a few more items to come off Experian.
