I finally today received my first cli from the Cap 1 luv button. For every reason under the sun I was always denied online and had to use the EO for increases. Over the last 6 months I put more spend through the card, and allowed larger balances to actually post before paying them. I revolved a balance as well for 2 months paying about 50% of the statement balance instead of the whole thing. A nice 2k SP increase. I'll take it! Followed it up with a call to customer service to get a apr decrease ( for the next 7 moths at least).

Congrats! Thats actually something I am curious about. I always use my card almost to limit and then pay it off before it posts, so I keep my UTL down. Is it better to actually let the big balance post to get a cli?

Cap 1 likes to see heavy usage on their cards. Use our a LOT, and PIF. Don't just pay the minimum amount due, pay at least the statement balance. Just let a small balance report when the statement cuts. That seems to work for me anyways lol
