Hell must've frozen over in the house of Capital One. Randomly requested an increase on my Quicksilver card originally Savor One that I've had for almost 3yrs and stuck at the $1k SL. Much to my surprise, it was approved. Over the years, I tried every strategy known to man to get the limit to move some but no dice. Interestingly, when I finally stopped using this card they found it necessary to increase the limit 🙄
Congrats, yea I was actually gonna post about this... My Cp1 cards are in the 6k range but never moved and I have one that is 2k and I been reading about something called bucketed cards starting in 5178, and i think 2 of my cards start with that so not sure.
They sure can be an odd bird. I'm waiting to apply for Discover Card when they get it.
CONGRATULATIONS!!
Congratulations!
I've been getting $300 clis from capone. Maybe they're becoming more generous, I'll give them a try.

Old wives tale. The starting numbers mean nothing more than it's a MasterCard.

@CreditMagic7 You may want to consider the Langley card below. The catagories rotate every month. They usaully give you three choices if you pick a catgory and during the month you could use a different 5 % catagory for that month you can change it.

Same here too. But the issue is, I'm blacklisted with Discover cos they were IIB for like $3k. In the past I've attempted to reapply but I still get insta-denied for unsatisfactory prior relationship. I wonder if the blacklist will carry over with the C1 acquisition. Guess we'll see how it goes.

Funny enough I was the one who shared the info about the Capital One buckets on this forum many years ago but I'm pretty sure things have changed at C1 since then. From what I still remember, your credit card digits has nothing to do with it. It's simply an identifier for the card issuer/network.
Congrats on the increase!
