Capital One Credit Steps CLI

Hello,

My 6th statement cut on 8/6/18 and I logged in yesterday and saw that my CL had been increased from $300 to $500.

This card originally started out as a Platinum but using the upgrade link (sorry I’m on my phone and don’t actually have the link readily available) I was able to PC it to the Quicksilver.

I have a Quicksilver One ($1k limit) as well.

I previously tried numerous times to get the CLI before the credit steps program ended but always got the denial and the reason they would always list was “too many inquiries”.

I will be combining the two cards before the AF on the QS1.

FICO scores are 601 across all bureaus. Only baddies are 1 30 day late from 11/2017 but none anymore (had them GW’d off) and a BK7 from 7/2016

Congrats on the CLI! Take it slow and work your way up, as your score goes up, more options will open up! Also check out Disco.

Thanks everyone!

I’m excited that my rebuilding journey is moving forward.

The goal is to buy a home at the end of next summer, so I will keep plugging away at this rebuild.

It’s a challenging game, but a fun one when you see the progress.

Congrats on the CLI. I also started off as a plat and obtained the QS via the upgrade link right after my 4th statement cut. However I have not been successful with the $100 CLI others have gotten after their 3rd statement-will graduate in next month. Got the approved for the plat with $300 CLI. I've burned them in the past with 2 other Cap1 cards....both charged off......glad they gave me a second chance and ability to earn rewards now. Good luck on your rebuild as I'm trying to purchase a home next summer but have baddies to tackle as well

Congratulations on your CLI! I had recently upgraded to the QS, too, and I plan on combining my QS1 to my QS.

Congrats. Started the same way. Plat/QS and QS1 got CS for 500. Then they went bye bye with combines to the higher teired cards after approvals. Your on your way. Remember your stuck in that rebuild catagory. Dont expect huge numbers. You'll get there and soon have much better options.
