Capital One Journey to QuickSilver

About a month ago I opened a Capital One Journey card and was approved for $300. Then I turned around and applied for the same card again (dumb, really) and was approved for $500. Well, I use both cards, but since the $500 one has the higher limit, I use it as my primary card. Just a few minutes ago I was looking thorugh my wallet and thought to myself, "you know. isn't it dumb that I have two of the same cards with the exact same design?" so I decided to start an online chat with Capital One and asked to see if one of the two could be changed into a different card. Within 10 minutes they changed my $500 limit card into a Capital One Quicksilver. No questions asked. This is why I love Capital One.

Good for you!
I personally don't like capital one they keep refusing my CLI request with lame excuses
I keep my VentureOne around for no annual fee and low apr
I recetly got approved for GMcard by CapOne for 25k but I think only because Gmcard department is still operating as HSBC

Re: Capital One Journey to QuickSilver

Everyone hates Capital One apparently haha. I love them probably because it's my first individual credit card so I don't have much experience with cards yet. I'm sure I'll end up hating them like everyone else! haha

hehe I started my credit with Wells Fargo, I must say WF card has some sentimental value to me even though they never lowered my APR

Re: Capital One Journey to QuickSilver

Congrats!

I just applied for my Journey and was approved for $500 as well. Mine will be here in 7-10 days. I have a custom design on mine, though.

But, I will be upgrading to the Quicksilver as well, when possible. Smiley Happy

Re: Capital One Journey to QuickSilver

I have a funny story with CapOne
I called recently and spoke with manager
They refused my CLI request so I asked
"I don't understand why you won't raise my CL I think it maybe because I have one of your lower end cards can I PC my card to something else?"
Manager goes "I see that you had an offer to upgrade to Quicksilver but the offer is now expired so you're welcome check back ask anytime you like"
so I said "why wasn't I told about the offer?"
manger said "We don't send you anything, you have to call and ask for it"
