Capital One double approval

Just a brief timeline to set the stage.

Ch 7 BK discharged September 2015.

Credit one visa approval in October for $400

Became AU on a capital one platinum card with a $300 limit the same month.

Paid in full and made multiple payments each month. Routinely maxed the cards out and pif about 3-4 times each billing cycle before the statements cut.

Fast forward to last week to the cap one site where I've been diligently checking the pre qual weekly. After my lastest statements cut CK had me at TU 656 and EQ 660. So I decided to go ahead and give it another look and low and behold I was offered pre quals for a qs one and a platinum. Decided to pull the trigger on both as has been recommended to save an additional triple pull and low and behold a double approval.

$2000 with 0% till November and then 23.24% on the QS one.
$1000 @24.99% on the platinum.

Hopefully with another 6 months or so I can continue to follow the guide in place and hit Discover and Barclay Apple rewards.
In the garden until 4/5/14

Congrats and looking good

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: Capital One double approval

Thanks wanderingbuilder! I wasn't aware you could PC the QS1 to regular QS? I was only aware the platinum was able to be PC'd to a QS.

Yes, it will still be a MasterCard, but you'll have the regular QS benefits and no annual fee. Keep up the good work!
