I have one quicksilver card that I've had for a long time, just used it as I did. I think it started at $1500 credit limit when I got it. Some automatic limit increases came to where it was sitting at $2500 this month.
I have another quicksilver card that was converted from the platinum about 2 years ago, and that started at a $6000 CL which has just been taking automatic ones such that it was at $8800 this month.
Now for 2020 I was building a house so I was careful to use the cards, but pay them off right away. That never netted me a credit limit increase in 2020, but it made the underwriters happy.
Now I'm in my home and I've been playing this game of put some one card, then put some on the other. I pay it off but it is kind of a pain so I thought, maybe I should ask for a CLI on the oldest card.
So I asked and after answering their standard questions, I asked to go from $2500 to $5500. Nothing huge, but would give me the room I wanted. And they approved it right then and there.
Then the funny thing happened is 3 days later I get an email that they increased the credit limit on the other card from $8800 to $9800.
Interesting, because that all happened in the middle of the billing time, or actually in about the last 1/4 of the month where I do have a high balance with payments scheduled to take care of on the due date.
Nothing massive, but interesting at least.
Awesome.
I still never see anything where I can convert my Cap One PLatinum card. I too have the Quicksilver as my 2nd Cap One card.
Congratulations get way to go with Cap One.
Congratulations on your Capital One CLIs!
