Capital one Credit step program?

If you hit the luv button and get approved, will it rest the credit steps program and have to wait another six months. The story is I hit the luv button and went from $300 to $800  but I wanted a 1k limit so I declined it because I thought that if I just wait the 2 months I have left I can get a larger increase. What should I do?

No, you will still get a credit increase after the credit steps, plus any luv button increases you have gotten. I would have taken the $800 and after credit steps you would have likely gotten more and had your 1k. I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong tho .

Credit Steps is independent of the luv button. You should be fine.

I understand you wanted that 1k increase but I would have taken that 800.  Your credit steps is guranteed, regadless if your accept the increase or not.  I would of taken that 500 increase.  The credit steps in funny, some have gotten huge increases with the credit steps and accepted a increase before the credit steps.  I look at each of my increases as accomplishments.
