Congrats on approval! You can always request a CLI with Care Credit if you're worried about UTIL. It reports on your CRs as a "retail card" or "charge card", no different than a store card/PLCC.
The horror stories are from people that didn't understand how promotional financing works. Basically, pay it all off before the promo expiration date and don't make any new non-promotional charges, and you'll avoid that.
