Feeling emboldened from my Citi Aadvantage Platinum $16K approval & pair of USBank SP CLI's detailed under separate posts, I decided to also try my luck at Chase. My Amazon Prime hasn't had a CLI in over a year, so on Sunday I filled out the form online with current income/mortgage payment, submitted the request, and immediately received the "we'll let you know in 7-10 days" message - uh oh! I thought surely the request was denied, furthermore I'm well over 5/24 for at least another 6 months.
48 hours later I received notice of a letter in my account asking me to unfreeze my TU report and to call Chase Card Services back within 14 days otherwise my request would no longer be considered. I thawed the report, called Chase, after verfying my identity with a code sent to my cell phone the credit analyst put me on hold while he pulled the report, then came back on the phone to reverify income and housing costs, puts me on hold again, comes back again to go through a mini-inquisition of how much I was looking for (increase of $2K for a round $20K limit), why I wanted the increase (I have a big purchase planned and want the extra padding...had to think of *something* to say!). He put me on hold a 3rd time, and comes back on the line with a "Congratulations, your request to increase your credit limit has been approved...!" Thank you very much Chase!!
Congrats on your $2k increase!
