@GFer wrote:Well, this is a first! I've had Chase for years and very rarely get auto CLI from them. They must really be happy with my usage of late. My utility is 89.04% due o -0- Interest rate and a bathroom remodel. I logged in this morning and did a double take! They increased my line by $2,500!
It's gonna be a good day, Tater!
yes sometimes, lenders rewards behavior that is good for their bottom line but is bad for your FICO score. I have noticed several people that had a UTL on one chase card, and little or no UTL on other lenders cards and no baddies reported, and at least 1 year with chase have been known to be given auto-CLI or sent an email or offer in the mail for a SP CLI and its usually granted.
my son's freedom card was at 105%.. yes I know major badness, but chase sent him one of the request a SP CLI, he took it, card went from 3300 to 5000. no HPl, he has a few other cards, that have little or no balance reporting and no baddies.
Thanks everyone!
Yes, James, this is so true. I'm not worried about my score though. It'll be paid down soon enough and I don't plan for applying for anything. Fico has no memory of utility, so it'll come right back to where I was. Initially, it made me sick to my stomach to see my 826 drop to 777 with my balances. But knowing what I know....I'll survive a few months.

Thought I was the only one who becomes physically ill when my score drops ... it's always good to remember that it always bounces back if you pay on time, reduce UTIL and stop app'ing.
Very nice, congrats
