My scorable inquiries and 5/24 finally improved. So I thought I'd take a chance this time. Approved for 3K on my CFU. Haven't put much spend on it this yr vs a ton last year. But I'll take it. I'm now nearly 80K with Chase and around 37% of my total salary. Wondering if I'm approaching their total credit exposure. DP(s): salary 216k +
Congratulation....Very nice job......By the way, could it be possible that you might have made a typo mistake when you said that you were not able to get any MANUAL SP CLI on your Chase cards....Were you meant for saying about INSTANT or ONLINE kinda SP CLI than MANUAL one? Because I think when we say about a manual CLI then it meant that underwriters manually reviewing the application.
So, you called them to get a CLI, right? If so, what did you tell them and how the whole conservation transpired? What questions they asked? Do you think that you are able to get CLI because you are 4/24??

Sorry, you made a very good point here. That manual cli title was misleading/ confusing. I meant to say that it was a self requested cli on my end, not auto love from Chase. Sorry for the confusion there @Janneman bc I can totally see how you interpreted that. But back to your point around 5/24. So I've tried to request a cli on this particular card several times since my last sp cli end of Feb 2023. I've been declined each time for credit seeking/ number of inquiries. On my CSR however, every time I apply telephone or via the app when it's eligible, instead of the inquiries/ new credit seeking reason code, instead I get 5/24 type language. It wouldn't surprise me that the CSR is probably on a stricter cli scale. My CFU was obtain with a much better profile at that time. So I can see how it's more around recent credit seeking than total number of accounts. I'm gonna try for a CLI on the CSR in August bc I'll go from 8/24 to 5/24. Will try for science.
Congratulations on your CFU CLI!
