@Gregory1776 wrote:How many CLIs did they give you from 20K SL?
I got 2 CLIs since opening the card in Jan 2022. The first one was last Jan/Feb 2023 before they moved officially to SP cli requests. I got a 9K increase via HP at that time. Since I had already used up an HP for the request, I made a request on my CFU( using same pull) and they raised that from 23.4K to 46.8K. I then moved some of the CFU limit to the CSR and it was sitting at 39K until this recent increase. I was also fortunate to get a sp 3K increase on my CFU last month.
I kept getting rejected for sp cli requests on both cards until last month when my inquiries and 5/24 status was somewhat reasonable. Obviously, YMMV but it seems that for my CSR, new accts impact my cli request whereas inquiries was the issue for the CFU. Who knows if those were the real reasons but dp(s) nonetheless.
Oh; nice! If you don't mind what's your reported income & how much do you usually spend on the cards? Thanks ![]()

I reread the post. 😆 NEVERMIND

Thank you for the kind words. I finally feel like I've reached a point of stability and more importantly, being financially responsible. As my signature mentions, I really put myself in a bad way financially back around 1998/1999. I remember when they used to hand out credit much more easily back then and I used to spend xxxx times my actual take home- end result, charge offs, etc. Reality set in, I had trouble getting a new apt bc of credit checks and things were rough. So I made the choice to buckle down and use cash/ debit cards for the longest. I finally felt confident enough to apply for a card. It was the Amex cobranded Delta. Was shocked when they approved me for 1K but let me tell you, it was the happiest shock back then. I discovered this forum back in 2021 and it really helped me make better decisions ( getting insights from other's and knowing that I wasn't the only one who had gone through these struggles). I stay on the forum for 2 big reasons: 1. engage with members and share insights 2. Keep myself grounded and remind me not to make those same mistakes ( finance over ficos is the one thing I always remember).
