Chase Denial?

Chase pulled BOTH EX and TU for my old Chase Slate(now closed) and Amazon card. My accounts are frozen because I'm in the garden, but I needed a BT card real quick. I unfroze EX but Transunion and Equifax are still on ice. My Chase apps have always been instant approvals. Guess this is a denial. I called them up and the person said the app is "pending".

Re: Chase Denial?

If I'm not mistaken, Chase pulls EQ or TU or both now.  So you'll probably be denied just because they can't access your CR

Did you call credit analyst number? They should be able to tell you the result right away. In my experience, chase may require both ex and eq cause they may use either 1

Re: Chase Denial?

Just as a data point but all (3) of my Chase cards were instant approals and double pulls (EQ and EX).

Chase has only pulled TU and EX for me. Even for my old Slate.

Re: Chase Denial?

I originally called this number > Chase: 800-436-7927 (App status - automated)

Just called this number > Chase: 888-245-0625 (Credit Analyst - Recons). He said my TU report is frozen. Sigh.

Seems like based on everyone else they pull all 3 depending on what mood they are in!

I just got approved for the Marriott Rewards last night, but the HP still hasn't shown up, so I assume it's TU.

Are you gonna unfreeze?

Really not feeling like I want to. It's 10 dollars a pop. LOL.

I was given a pin when I froze it and tried to just use that instead of unfreezing. The Analyst said it won't let them go through.

Re: Chase Denial?

APPROVED!

Wow Chase doesn't go higher with each card? I was approved for 5,000! I already have a 6,000 Amazon. That means when I get the Freedom, it won't be that much either. Overall util 13% Barclays TU 751(not that Chase will use Barclays as they have their own internal modeling system).

I just hope, for this limit, I don't get dinged on EX too.
