Chase is a strange duck. Let me acknowledge that I really have no business apping for any new cards. I've had near 30 new this last year. Unfroze bureaus, applied for Slate. Denied. Reconned. "No, too many new accounts/inquiries this year, and I see you already have the Ink, CSP, and Ritz". Yeah dude, just can we get to an approval? No. Ok, supervisor please. Hello nice lady. Can we take that HP you just took for the Slate for which you denied me, and use it to request a CLI for the CSP (currently at $5k and only opened 3 months--please? Oh, no sir it would be another HP. Me: No, ma'am, I am certain that Chase can use a single HP to consider multiple card apps or CLI applications, they've done it before for me. She says, "I've been working here a long time, and I've NEVER heard of using a HP to approve multiple accounts or CLIs. I said, "I hate to argue with you, but I know this is false". So I says, "Ok, go ahead, PULL IT AGAIN, for the CSP CLI, why not". She puts me on hold, does the second HP and comes back and says, "We can approve a CLI from $5k to $15k". Wow. Ok, I'll take it. Cost me two EQ HPs but oh well.
Chase is whack. What can I say.
That's one hell of an increase though

It is, but why couldn't they just open me a Slate card for $10k? I don't get it. Strange. Two HPs, 10k added to my CSP. And the lady was all huffy and mad about me telling her Chase can do two things with one pull. Weird.
I agree they do some weird stuff but who cares you got an extra 10K!!!!

True dat.
I betcha anything you would get approved for a cobranded card with them. For some reason there easier to get.
Congrats on the CLI!
Chase is an odd one ... The only card I carry that has never had any sort of CLI on its own ... I'm content with where its at, but it would go a long way to have them automatically bump it up a grand or two without me having to do anything ![]()
Kinda wish I had tried for $20k
